“இந்த அரசு மாநிலத்தின் குறைந்த நீர் ஆதாரங்களை முறைப்படி பயன்படுத்தி அவற்றை பாதுகாப்பதற்கு அதிகமான முக்கியத்துவத்தை அளிக்கும் விதமாக நீர்வளங்களுக்கு தனியே ஒரு அமைச்சகத்தை உருவாக்கியுள்ளது. மாண்புமிகு முதலமைச்சர் அவர்களின் நோக்கத்தைச் செயல்படுத்தும் விதமாக, அடுத்த 10 ஆண்டுகளில், 1,000 தடுப்பணைகளும், கதவணைகளும் கட்டப்படும். 44 பதவியேற்ற உடனேயே, மாண்புமிகு தமிழ்நாடு முதலமைச்சர் அவர்கள் காவேரி டெல்டாப் பகுதியில் சிறப்பு தூர்வாரும் பணிகளுக்கு ஆணையிட்டார்கள். விவசாயிகளின் ஆலோசனையுடன் ஒன்பது மாவட்டங்களில் 647 பணிகள் 65.11 கோடி ரூபாய் மதிப்பீட்டில் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டு முடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.”
