“கீழடி அகழ்வாராய்ச்சியின் முடிவுகள், தமிழர் நாகரிகத்தின் தொன்மையை அறிந்து கொள்வதில் பொதுமக்களின் ஆர்வத்தை மிகவும் அதிகரித்துள்ளது. மாண்புமிகு தமிழ்நாடு முதலமைச்சர் அவர்கள், கீழடி அகழ்வாராய்ச்சியில் கிடைக்கப் பெற்ற பொருட்களை காட்சிப்படுத்துவதற்காக, உலகத்தரம் வாய்ந்த ஒரு புதிய அகழ்வைப்பகம் அமைத்திட, 12.21 கோடி ரூபாய் நிதி ஒதுக்கீடு செய்துள்ளார். பண்டைய காலத்து தமிழர் நாகரிகத்தைப் பற்றி மேலும் அறிவதற்காக, கூடுதலாக நான்கு தொகுப்புகளில் தொல்லியல் கள ஆய்வுகள் மேற்கொள்வதற்கு, மாநில தொல்லியல் துறை, இந்திய தொல்லியல் துறையின் ஒப்புதலைப் பெற்றுள்ளது. 2020-21 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான வரவு-செலவுத் திட்டத்தில் தொல்லியல் துறைக்காக 31.93 கோடி ரூபாய் ஒதுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. நிலைக்கத்தக்க வளர்ச்சி இலக்குகள்”

2021-22 Rs.5 crore
“The archaeological excavations that are underway at Keezhadi, Adhichanallur, Sivakalai, Korkai, Kodumanal and Gangaikondacholapuram have the ancient culture and heritage of Tamil Nadu increased awareness about among Tamils living in our State and across the globe. In order to carry out archaeological excavations in Tamil Nadu in a scientific manner, Rs.5 crore will be allocated this financial year, which is the highest among all States in the country.”
“கீழடி, ஆதிச்சநல்லூர், சிவகளை, கொற்கை, கொடுமணல், கங்கைகொண்டசோழபுரம், ஆகிய இடங்களில் நடைபெற்றுவரும் தொல்லியல் அகழாய்வுகள் தமிழ்நாட்டில் மட்டுமன்றி உலகத் தமிழர் இடையேயும் தமிழரின் தொன்மை மற்றும் பண்பாடு குறித்து மகத்தான உற்சாகத்தையும், தொல்லியல் குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வையும் ஊட்டியுள்ளன, இந்த நிதியாண்டில் தமிழ்நாட்டில் தொல்லியல் ஆய்வுகளை அறிவியல் முறைப்படி மேற்கொள்ள, நாட்டில் வேறு எந்த மாநிலத்தை விடவும் அதிக அளவாக; 5 கோடி ரூபாய் நிதி ஒதுக்கப்படும். கீழடி, சிவகளை, கொடுமணல் ஆகிய பகுதிகளில் அகழாய்வு மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட இடங்கள் பாதுகாக்கப்பட்ட தொல்லியல் தளங்களாக அறிவிக்கப்படும். கீழடியில் ஏற்கனவே அகழ்வாய்வு மேற்கொண்ட போது வெளிப்பட்ட வரலாற்று முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்த கட்டட அமைப்புகள், உறைகிணறுகள் மற்றும் தொழிற் பகுதிகளை பொதுமக்களும், எதிர்காலத் தலைமுறையினரும் நேரடியாக கண்டு உணரும் வகையில் கீழடியில் திறந்தவெளி தொல்லியல் அருங்காட்சியகம் ஒன்று அமைக்கப்படும். தேசிய கடல்சார் நிறுவனம், தேசிய கடல் தொழில்நுட்பவியல் நிறுவனம் மற்றும் இந்திய கடல்சார் பல்கலைக்கழகம் ஆகிய நிறுவனங்களோடு இணைந்து, முதற்கட்டமாக சங்ககால துறைமுகங்கள் அமைந்திருந்த கொற்கை மற்றும் அழகன்குளம் பகுதிகளில் ஆழ்கடல் ஆய்வுகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்படும்.”

2022-23
“excavations will be carried out in seven more places including three sites at Thoolookarpatti in Tirunelveli district, Vembakottai in Virudhunagar district and Perumbalai in Dharmapuri district during this year. “archaeological excavations in Tamil Nadu will be carried out at Keezhadi in Sivaganga district, Pattanamarudur in Thoothukudi district, Karivalamvanthanallur in Tenkasi district, Nagapattinam in Nagapattinam district, Manikkollai in Cuddalore district, Adichanur in Kallakurichi district, Vellalur in Coimbatore district, and Thelunganur in Salem district in the coming financial year 2025-26.
