“the Hon‟ble Chief Minister had announced that the first phase for the flood prevention works will be taken up at a cost of Rs.1,000 crore. An amount of Rs.500 crore has been allocated in this year‟s Budget for this purpose.”
“சென்னை டுபருநகரப் பகுதியில் வெள்ளத்தால் ஏற்படும் பாதிப்புகளைத் தடுப்பதற்கு, தக்க பரிந்துரைகளை வழங்க ஆலோசனைக் குழு ஒன்று அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இக்குழுவின் பரிந்துரைகளின்படி, வெள்ளத்தடுப்புப் பணிகள் முதற்கட்டமாக 1000 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவில் மேற்கொள்ளப்படும் என மாண்புமிகு முதலமைச்சர் அவர்கள் அறிவித்தார்கள். இப்பணிகளுக்காக 500 கோடி ரூபாய் ஒதுக்கீடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.”
