“With the objective of ensuring that students acquire both academic and field knowledge, school students will be taken on visits to the archaeological and heritage sites across Tamil Nadu — including Keeladi, Adichanallur, Kodumanal, Mayiladumparai, Sivakalai, Alagankulam, Arikamedu, Saluvankuppam, and Kaveripattinam — promoting experiential learning and strengthening their understanding of the State's ancient history, civilisation and cultural heritage. For this purpose, the Government allocates Rs.One crore to organise educational tours for school students to archaeological sites and institutions of higher education.”
