“சென்னையை உலகத்தரம் வாய்ந்த மாநகரமாக மாற்றியமைத்திட, சர்வதேச கண்காட்சிகள், பன்னாட்டுக் கூட்டங்கள் நடத்திடும் வகையில், உலகத்தரம் வாய்ந்த கலைஞர் பன்னாட்டு அரங்கம் (Kalaignar Convention Centre) நவின வசதிகளுடன் கிழக்குக் கடற்கரைச் சாலையில் முட்டுக்காடு பகுதியில் சுமார் மூன்று இலட்சம் சதுர அடி பரப்பளவில் கட்டப்படவுள்ளது. 5000 இருக்கைகள் கொண்ட மாநாட்டுக் கூடம், 10,000 நபர்கள் பார்வையிடும் வசதிகொண்ட கண்காட்சி அரங்கம், கூட்ட அரங்குகள், கலை அரங்கம் ஆகிய வசதிகளுடன் அமையவுள்ள இந்தப் பன்னாட்டு அரங்கம் சிங்காரச் சென்னையின் நவின அடையாளங்களுள் ஒன்றாகத் திகழும்.”
