“Taking cognisance of this, our Hon'ble Chief Minister sanctioned the 'Kuruvai Package Scheme' at a total outlay of Rs.134 crore, to encourage paddy cultivation in both delta and non-delta districts and ensure no reduction in paddy production during the Kar, Kuruvai and Sornavari seasons. This scheme includes components such as mechanical paddy transplantation, direct seeding of paddy, seed production incentives, and the distribution of paddy seeds, liquid bio-fertilisers and micronutrient mixtures.”
“பருவநிலை மாற்றங்களால் இந்த ஆண்டு தென்மேற்கு பருவமழை இயல்பான அளவிற்குப் பெய்யாததால், மேட்டூர் அணையில் போதிய அளவு நீர் இருப்பு இல்லாத நிலை ஏற்பட்டது. இதனால், பாசனத்திற்காக வழக்கமாகத் திறக்கப்படும் ஜூன்-12 அன்று மேட்டூர் அணையைத் திறக்க இயலவில்லை. இந்நிலையைக் கருத்தில் கொண்டு, மாண்புமிகு தமிழ்நாடு முதலமைச்சர் அவர்கள் கார்குறுவை;,டகொர்ணவாறிப் பருவத்தின் நல் உற்பத்தி குறையாமல் இருப்பதை உறுதி டசய்திட, டெல்டா மற்றும் டெல்டா அல்லாத மாவட்டங்களில் நெல்சாகுபடியினை ஊக்குவிக்க மொத்தம் 134கோடி ரூபாய்நிதி ஒதுக்கீட்டில் குறுவை தொகுப்புத் திட்டத்திற்கு ஒப்புதல் அளித்தார். இதில் நெல் இயந்திர நடவு, நேரடி நெல் விதைப்பு, விதை உற்பத்தி மானியம், நெல் விதை, திரவ உயிர் உரம், நுண்ணூட்ட உரக்கலவை விநியோகம் ஆகிய இனங்கள் செயல்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன.”
