“Recognizing the critical importance of conservation of surface water for a water scarce State like Tamil Nadu, the Hon’ble Chief Minister launched the Tamil Nadu Water Resources Conservation and Augmentation Mission as a people’s movement.”
“தமிழ்நாடு போன்ற நீர் பற்றாக்குறை மாநிலத்தில் நீர்நிலைகளைப் பாதுகாப்பது மிகவும் முக்கியம் என்பதை உணர்ந்து, மாண்புமிகு முதலமைச்சர் அவர்கள் தமிழ்நாடு நீர்வள ஆதார அமைப்பை பாதுகாத்தல் மற்றும் வலுப்படுத்துதல் இயக்கத்தை ஒரு மக்கள் இயக்கமாகத் தொடங்கியுள்ளார். இவ்வியக்கத்தின் நோக்கமானது, மழைநீர் சேகரித்தல், நீர்வள ஆதாரங்களைப் பாதுகாத்தல், நிலத்தடி நீர் செறிவூட்டல், விவசாயப் பயன்பாட்டிற்கான நீரை திறம்படப் பயன்படுத்துதல், பயன்படுத்தப்பட்ட நீரினை மறுசுழற்சி செய்தல் மற்றும் நீர்வழிகள், நீர்வள ஆதாரங்கள் மற்றும் சதுப்பு நிலங்களை மீட்டெடுத்தல் ஆகும்.”
