“The Hon'ble Chief Minister has also announced that works worth Rs.1,517 crores under various schemes will be taken up in the Cauvery Delta Area, including the creation of 15,000 farm ponds under MGNREGS at a cost of Rs.181 crores.”
“மகாத்மா காந்தி தேசிய ஊரக வேலைவாய்ப்புத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ், 181 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவில், 15,000 பண்ணைக் குட்டைகள் அமைப்பது உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு திட்டப் பணிகள் காவேரிப் பாசனப் பகுதியில் 1517 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவில் மேற்கொள்ளப்படும் எனவும், மாண்புமிகு முதலமைச்சர் அவர்கள் அறிவித்துள்ளார்கள். கால்நடைத் தீவனப் பற்றாக்குறையை சமாளிக்க 17.85 கோடி ரூபாயும், குடிநீர் விநியோகத்தைச் சீரமைக்க 37.25 கோடி ரூபாயும் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. மாநிலம் முழுவதும் வறட்சியால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதால், டெல்டா மாவட்டங்கள் அல்லாத பிற பகுதிகளுக்கும் வழங்கப்பட வேண்டிய நிவாரண உதவியை இந்த அரசு முடிவு செய்து, மாண்புமிகு முதலமைச்சர் அவர்களால் விரைவில் அறிவிக்கப்பட உள்ளது. மேலும், வறட்சி குறித்த விரிவான நிவாரணக் கோரிக்கை மனுவை மத்திய அரசிற்கு அளிக்க இந்த அரசு நடவடிக்கை எடுத்து வருகிறது. பொருளாதாரச் சூழ்நிலை”
