“உலக வங்கி, ஆசிய வளர்ச்சி வங்கி, ஆசிய உட்கட்டமைப்பு முதலீட்டு வங்கி மற்றும் நபார்டு வங்கி உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு முகமைகளிடம் இருந்து தேவையான உதவிகளைப் பெற்று நீர்வளங்கள் துறையில் சிறப்புத் திட்டங்களை இந்த அரசு தொடர்ந்து செயல்படுத்தும். கல்லணை கால்வாய் புதுப்பித்தல் விரிவுபடுத்துதல் மற்றும் நவீனப்படுத்துதல் திட்டத்திற்கு ஆசிய உட்கட்டமைப்பு முதலீட்டு வங்கியிலிருந்து 2,639.15 கோடி ரூபாய் நிதி உதவி பெறப்பட்டுள்ளது. இரண்டாவது அணை சீரமைத்தல் மற்றும் புதுப்பித்தல் திட்டமானது 610.26 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவில் உலக வங்கியின் நிதியுதவியுடன் துவங்கப்படவுள்ளது, பருவ நிலை மாற்றத்திற்கான தழுவல் திட்டத்தின் இரண்டாம் கட்டம், காவேரி டெல்டாப் பகுதியில் 1825 கோடி ரூபாய் திட்ட மதிப்பீட்டில் ஆசிய வளர்ச்சி வங்கியின் உதவியுடன் மேற்கொள்ளப்படும், தமிழ்நாடு நீர்ப்பாசன வேளாண்மை நவீனமயமாக்கல் திட்டத்தின் மூன்றாம் கட்டமும், நான்காம் கட்டமும், உலக வங்கியின் நிதி உதவியுடன் 779.89 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவில் செயல்படுத்தப்படும். இந்த திருத்த வரவு செலவுத் திட்டத்தில் 326,37 கோடி ரூபாய் இந்தத் திட்டங்களுக்காக ஒதுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. தடுப்பணைகள், ஏரிகள், வடிகால்கள் மற்றும் பாசன அமைப்புகளின் புனரமைத்தல் உட்பட 59 புதிய பாசனப் பணிகள் நபார்டு வங்கியின் நிதியுதவியுடன் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டன.”
