“மீன்பிடி தடைக் காலத்திலும், மீன்பிடி குறைவாக உள்ள காலத்திலும் மீனவர் குடும்பங்கள் கண்ணியமாக வாழ்வதற்கு வழங்கப்பட்டு வரும், குடும்பத்திற்கு தலா 5,000 ரூபாய் உதவித்தொகை தொடர்ந்து வழங்கப்படும். மாநிலத்தில் மீன்பிடிப்பிற்கான உட்கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகளை மேம்படுத்துவதற்காக, கன்னியாகுமரி மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள குளச்சல், தேங்காய்ப்பட்டிணம் மற்றும் சின்னமுட்டத்திலும், நாகப்பட்டினம் மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள பூம்புகாரிலும் புதிய மீன்பிடி துறைமுகங்கள், 423.34 கோடி ரூபாய் மதிப்பீட்டில் அமைக்கும் பணிகள் நடைபெற்று வருகின்றன. இத்திட்டங்களை தடையின்றி நிறைவேற்றும் நோக்கில், மாநில அரசின் பங்குத்தொகையான 182 கோடி ரூபாயுடன், மத்திய அரசு ஏற்றுக்கொண்டபடி விடுவிக்காத நிலுவைத் தொகையான 41.65 கோடி ரூபாயையும் மாநில அரசே ஏற்றுள்ளது. மேலும், இராமநாதபுரம் மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள மூக்கையூரில் 113.90 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவில் புதிய துறைமுகம் அமைக்கும் பணி நடைபெற்று வருகிறது. வரும் நிதியாண்டில் 70 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவில் இராமநாதபுரம் மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள குந்துக்கல்லில் மீன் இறங்கு தளமும், 220 கோடி ரூபாய் மொத்தச் செலவில் நாகப்பட்டினம் மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள வெள்ளப்பள்ளம் மற்றும் தரங்கம்பாடி ஆகிய இடங்களில் மீன்பிடி துறைமுகங்களும் கட்டுவதற்கான பணிகளை இந்த அரசு மேற்கொள்ளும். 2018-2019 ஆம் ஆண்டில், கன்னியாகுமரி மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள குரும்பனை, பொழிக்கரை, கேசவன்புத்தன்துறை மற்றும் பள்ளம்துறை ஆகிய இடங்களில் மீன் இறங்கு தளங்கள் அமைப்பதற்கான பணிகளையும் இந்த அரசு 16 கோடி ரூபாய் மதிப்பீட்டில் மேற்கொள்ளும்.”
