“காலத்திற்கேற்ப மாறிவரும் விவசாயத் தேவைகளைப் பூர்த்தி செய்யும் வகையில், வேளாண்மைக் கல்வி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி வசதிகள் தொடர்ந்து மேம்படுத்தப்பட வேண்டும். 2011 ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் நான்கு புதிய கல்லூரிகளைத் தொடங்கியும், 23 புதிய தனியார் கல்லூரிகளைத் தொடங்க அனுமதி அளித்தும், வேளாண்மைக் கல்வி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சியை விரிவுபடுத்துவதில் மாநில அரசு பெரிய மாற்றத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது. தமிழ்நாடு வேளாண்மைப் பல்கலைக்கழக உறுப்புக் கல்லூரிகள் மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையங்களின் உட்கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகள் தொடர்ந்து மேம்படுத்தப்பட்டு வருகின்றன. 2019-2020 ஆம் ஆண்டில் அரசு வேளாண்மைக் கல்லூரிகள் மற்றும் தோட்டக்கலைக் கல்லூரிகளின் உட்கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகளை தொடர்ந்து மேம்படுத்துவதற்காக 79.73 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவிடப்படும்.”
