“நீர்ப் பயன்பாட்டுத் திறனை உயர்த்தி, வேளாண் உற்பத்தியை அதிகரிப்பதை குறிக்கோளாகக் கொண்ட நீர்வள நிலவளத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ், 2013 ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் திங்கள் வரை 1823.72 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. இத்திட்டத்தைச் செயல்படுத்த 2014 ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் திங்கள் வரை மேலும் 18 மாதங்கள் கால நீட்டிப்பு கிடைத்துள்ளது. 2014-2015 ஆம் ஆண்டு வரவு-செலவுத் திட்டத்தில் இதற்காக 489.49 கோடி ரூபாய் ஒதுக்கீடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.”
