“நாட்டிலேயே தமிழ்நாட்டில் தான் குறு, சிறு, நடுத்தர தொழில் நிறுவனங்களின் எண்ணிக்கை அதிகமாக உள்ளது. தேசிய அளவில் இது 15.07 விழுக்காடாகும். குறு, சிறு, நடுத்தர தொழில் நிறுவனங்கள் அதிக அளவு வேலைவாய்ப்புகளை உருவாக்கக்கூடிய திறன் கொண்டவை. பதினோராவது ஐந்தாண்டுத் திட்ட காலத்தில் குறு, சிறு நிறுவனங்களை ஊக்குவிக்க தொழிலக குழும மேம்பாட்டு திட்டத்தின் கீழ் (Cluster Development Programme) 50 தொழிலக குழுமங்களை உருவாக்க உத்தேசிக்கப்பட்டது. இதுவரை 15 தொழிலக குழுமங்கள் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. 2011-2012 ஆம் ஆண்டில் ஒன்பது தொழில் தொகுப்புகள் உருவாக்கப்படும். வரும் ஆண்டுகளில் குறு, சிறு, நடுத்தர தொழில் நிறுவனங்களை ஊக்குவிக்க நிலம் ஒதுக்கீடு செய்ய சிட்கோ நிறுவனம் 25 இடங்களில் 2,256 ஏக்கர் நிலத்தை தேர்வு செய்துள்ளது. தொழிற்பேட்டைக்கு உகந்த செயலற்றுப்போன கூட்டுறவு நூற்பாலைகளின் நிலங்களை புதிய தொழிற்பேட்டைகள் அமைக்க பயன்படுத்தி சிறு, குறு, நடுத்தர தொழில் நிறுவனங்களை உருவாக்கவும், வேலைவாய்ப்பைப் பெருக்கவும் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படும். 2011-2012 ஆம் ஆண்டில் 23.50 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவில் ஏழு புதிய தொழிற்பேட்டைகளில் கட்டமைப்புப் பணிகளை மேற்கொள்ளவும், 27.49 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவில் எட்டு தொழிற்பேட்டைகளில் கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகளை மேம்படுத்தவும் சிட்கோ நிறுவனம் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கும்.”
