“E-governance initiatives like Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) with central funding will be put in place shortly, to make the department efficient and public friendly. Special units such as Crime Branch, Economic Offences Wing, Idol Wing, etc. which were not covered under central funding, will also be brought under CCTNS with State funding.”
