“school kits including textbooks and notebooks, which are being provided to students studying in Government schools will be extended to students of Classes 1 to 10 in private unaided schools which teach exclusively in Tamil medium, from this year onwards, at an estimated cost of Rs.15 crore.”
“தாய்மொழி கல்வியே தலைசிறந்த கல்வி என்பது அறிவியல் கூறும் உண்மையாகும். தமிழ்வழிக் கல்வியை ஊக்குவிக்கும் வண்ணம், அரசுப் பள்ளிகளில் பயிலும் மாணவர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டு வரும் பாடநூல், நோட்டுப்புத்தகம் போன்ற நலத்திட்ட உதவிகள், அரசு நிதியுதவியின்றிச் செயல்பட்டு வரும், தமிழ்வழியில் மட்டும் பாடங்களைக் கற்பிக்கும் பள்ளிகளில் இலவசமாக 1 முதல் 10 ஆம் வகுப்புவரை பயிலும் மாணவர்களுக்கு, இந்த ஆண்டு முதல் 15 கோடி ரூபாய் மதிப்பீட்டில் வழங்கப்படும்.”
