“தேவையான கட்டமைப்புகள் மீன்பிடித் தொழிலின் நீடித்த வளர்ச்சிக்கு அவசியமானவை. தமிழகத்தின் கடலோரப் பகுதியில் அரசு- தனியார் ஒத்துழைப்பின் மூலம் 13 மீன்பிடி நகரங்களில், மீன் பதப்படுத்தும் பூங்காக்கள், மத்திய அரசின் உணவு பதப்படுத்தும் அமைச்சகத்தின் நிதியுடன் தேசிய மீன் வளர்ச்சிக் கழக நிதியையும் பெற்று படிப்படியாக ஏற்படுத்தப்படும். 2011-2012 ஆம் ஆண்டு சென்னை, நாகப்பட்டினத்தில் இத்தகைய குளிர்ப்பதன வசதியுடன் கூடிய மீன் பதப்படுத்துதல், கட்டுமான வசதிகள் முன்னோடித் திட்டங்களாக மேற்கொள்ளப்படும்.”
