“Under the scheme for the distribution of free colour television sets, 1,62,80,000 colour television sets were procured at a cost of ` 3,716 crores and 1,58,08,285 were distributed. In addition to this, steps have been taken to procure 10 lakhs more colour television sets at an estimated cost of ` 249 crores.”
“இலவச வண்ணத் தொலைக்காட்சி வழங்கும் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் இதுவரை ரூபாய் 3,716 கோடி செலவில் ஒரு கோடியே 62 இலட்சத்து 80 ஆயிரம் வண்ணத் தொலைக்காட்சிப் பெட்டிகள் கொள்முதல் செய்யப்பட்டு ஒரு கோடியே 58 இலட்சத்து 8 ஆயிரத்து 285 பெட்டிகள் விநியோகம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன. மேலும் ரூபாய் 249 கோடி மதிப்பீட்டில் 10 இலட்சம் வண்ணத் தொலைக்காட்சிப் பெட்டிகள் கொள்முதல் செய்ய நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.”
