“To encourage traditional fishermen to take up deep-sea fishing, financial assistance in the form of an interest subsidy will be provided to those purchasing deep-sea fishing boats equipped with modern processing facilities. For this purpose, an amount of Rs.12 crore is allocated in the current financial year.”
“நமது பாரம்பரிய மீனவர்கள் ஆழ்கடல் மீன்பிடித் தொழிலில் ஈடுபடுவதை ஊளக்குவிக்கும் வகையில், நவின பதப்படுத்தும் வசதிகள் கொண்ட ஆழ்கடல் மீன்பிடிப் படகுகளை வாங்கும் மீனவர்களுக்கு, வட்டி மானியம் வடிவிலான நிதியுதவி வழங்கப்படும். இதற்கென நடப்பாண்டில் 12 கோடி ரூபாய் நிதி ஒதுக்கீடு செய்யப்படுகிறது. பால்வளம்”
