“2013-2014 ஆம் ஆண்டில் கடலூர் மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள முடசலோடையில் புதிய நவீன மீன் இறங்கு தளம் 7.78 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவில் அமைக்கப்படும். இராமநாதபுரம், திருவள்ளூர் மாவட்டங்களில் பொதுத் துறை- தனியார் துறை பங்கேற்பு மூலமாக இரண்டு மீன் பதப்படுத்தும் பூங்காக்கள் வரும் நிதியாண்டில் அமைக்கப்படும். 2013-2014 ஆம் ஆண்டில், நாகூரிலும் பரங்கிப்பேட்டையிலும் தலா 10 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவில் ஆழமற்ற முகத்துவாரங்களில் பாதுகாப்பாக படகுகள் சென்றுவர ஏதுவாக முகத்துவாரங்களை நிலைப்படுத்தும் பணிகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்படும். மீன்வளத் துறைக்காக 2013-2014 ஆம் ஆண்டு வரவு-செலவுத் திட்டத்தில் 467.44 கோடி ரூபாய் ஒதுக்கீடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. உணவுப் பாதுகாப்பு அனைவருக்குமான பொது விநியோகத் திட்டம் - ஒரு முன்னோடிக் திட்டம்”
