“In a unique initiative, five petrol outlets have been set up in the outer premises of prisons at Puzhal, Vellore, Coimbatore, Palayamkottai and at the Borstal School at Pudukottai. Six more outlets will be set up in 2020-21.”
“தமிழ்நாட்டில் உள்ள சிறைச்சாலைகள், மனிதநேயத்திற்கும், சீர்திருத்த அணுகுமுறைக்கும் நற்பெயர் பெற்றவை. சீர்திருத்த முயற்சியின் ஒரு பகுதியாக, சிறைவாசிகள் சிறைத் தொழிற்கூடங்களில் ஈட்டும் ஊதியத்தில் அவர்களின் பராமரிப்புக்காகப் பிடித்தம் செய்யும் தொகை 50 சதவீதத்திலிருந்து 30 சதவீதமாகக் குறைக்கப்பட்டு, ஊதியத்தில் அவர்களின் பங்கு 30 சதவீதத்திலிருந்து 50 சதவீதமாக உயர்த்தப்படும். ஒரு புதிய தொடக்க முயற்சியாக, சிறைவாசிகளின் சீர்திருத்தம் மற்றும் மறுவாழ்வுக்காக, புழல், வேலூர், கோயம்புத்தூர் பாளையங்கோட்டை ஆகிய இடங்களில் உள்ள சிறைகளின் வெளி வளாகங்களிலும், புதுக்கோட்டையிலுள்ள பார்ஸ்டல் பள்ளியிலும் 5 பெட்ரோல் நிலையங்கள் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. வரும் நிதியாண்டில், மேலும் 6 பெட்ரோல் நிலையங்கள் அமைக்கப்படும். 2020-21 ஆம் ஆண்டில், சிறைத் துறைக்கு 392.74 கோடி ரூபாய் ஒதுக்கீடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. சாலைப் பாதுகாப்பு”
