“For senior citizens, 1,000 Mobile Geriatric Treatment Centres will be introduced in phases across Tamil Nadu. Each mobile centre will function with a dedicated team of a doctor, a nurse and a physiotherapist, visiting every Village Panchayat in the State to conduct free health check-ups and provide medicines for chronic conditions. An amount of Rs.33 crore has been allocated for this scheme.”
