“தீயணைப்பு மற்றும் பிற பேரிடர் நிவாரணப் பணிகளில் துரித தீர்வு அளிக்க வேண்டியதன் அத்தியாவசியத்தை உணர்ந்து, தேவையான இடங்களில் புதிய தீயணைப்பு மற்றும் மீட்புப் பணிகள் நிலையங்களை அவ்வப்போது அரசு தொடங்கி வந்ததால், மாநிலம் முழுவதும் உள்ள தீயணைப்பு மற்றும் மீட்பு நிலையங்களின் எண்ணிக்கை இப்பொழுது 346 ஆக உள்ளது. 2019-20 ஆம் ஆண்டில் 18.22 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவில் 16 புதிய தீயணைப்பு மற்றும் மீட்புப் பணிகள் நிலையங்கள் தொடங்க அனுமதி வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. உயர் அடுக்குமாடிக் கட்டடங்களில் ஏற்படும் தீ விபத்துகளை நவீன முறையில் தடுக்கும் மற்றும் மீட்புப் பணிகளில் உதவும் 104 மீட்டர் தீயணைப்பு ஏணிகள் உட்பட நவீன தீயணைப்பு மீட்புக் கருவிகள் வாங்குவதற்காக 13.67 கோடி ரூபாய் ஒப்பளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. பதினைந்தாவது நிதிக்குழு தேசியப் பேரிடர் நிவாரண மற்றும் மேலாண்மை நிதியத்தில், தீயணைப்புப் பணிகள் நவீனமயமாக்கல் மற்றும் விரிவாக்கத்திற்காக 1,000 கோடி ரூபாயை பரிந்துரைத்துள்ளது. இந்த நிதியைப் பயன்படுத்துவதற்காக, தமிழ்நாடு அரசு முன்மொழிவுகளை அனுப்பும். 2020-21 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான வரவு-செலவுத் திட்ட மதிப்பீடுகளில், தீயணைப்பு மற்றும் மீட்புப் பணிகள் துறைக்கு 405.68 கோடி ரூபாய் நிதி ஒதுக்கீடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. சிறைச்சாலைகள்”
