““அமைதி, வளம், வளர்ச்சி என்ற இந்த அரசின் மும்முனைக் கொள்கையில், தமிழகத்தில் அமைதிச் சூழல் நிலவச் செய்வதுதான் முதன்மைக் கொள்கையாகும். தீர்க்கமான மனஉறுதி கொண்ட மாண்புமிகு முதலமைச்சர் அவர்கள், உரிய நேரத்தில் உறுதியான நடவடிக்கைகளை எடுத்து, மத நல்லிணக்கத்தையும், சட்டம் ஒழுங்கு நிலையையும் பாதுகாப்பதில் பெரும் கவனம் செலுத்தி வருகிறார்கள். சாதி, மதம் தொடர்பான பிரச்சினைகளையும், பூசல்களையும், காவல் துறையினர், தேவையான அளவு மட்டும் வலிமையைப் (Force) பயன்படுத்தி, திறமையாகக் கையாண்டு வருகின்றனர். காவல் துறையினரின் தேடுதல் வேட்டைகள், சிறப்பான நுண்ணறிவுத் தகவல் அமைப்பு மற்றும் 10 எல்லையோர மாவட்டங்களில் நக்சலைட் பிரிவினரைத் தடுக்க சிறப்புப் பணிப் பிரிவு அமைத்தல் போன்ற நடவடிக்கைகளினால், இடதுசாரி தீவிரவாத சக்திகள் ஒடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. நாட்டிலேயே முதன்முறையாக, தமிழ்நாட்டில் தான் 13 கடலோர மாவட்டங்களில், 500 மீனவ இளைஞர்கள் கடற்கரை ஊர்க்காவல் படைக்குத் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.”
