“Further, this Government has sanctioned 32 new Armed Reserve Platoons for 15 Districts and one Armed Reserve Company, for which 2,109 Police Personnel will be added to the existing strength, in a phased manner.”
“கடந்த மூன்றாண்டுகளில் காவல் துறையினரின் எண்ணிக்கை கணிசமாக உயர்த்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த அரசு பொறுப்பேற்றது முதல் 24,503 புதிய காவலர் மற்றும் அலுவலர் பணியிடங்கள் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. இந்தியாவிலேயே முதல் முறையாகத் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ள தமிழ்நாடு சிறப்புக் காவல் இளைஞர் படைத் திட்டம், மாண்புமிகு முதலமைச்சர் அவர்களின் சிந்தனையில் உதித்த உன்னதத் திட்டமாகும். ஏற்கெனவே உறுதியளித்தவாறு, இத்திட்டத்திற்கென 10,099 நபர்கள் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளனர். இதுவரை ஆறு புதிய காவல் நிலையங்களும், 44 புதிய போக்குவரத்துக் காவல் நிலையங்களும், இரண்டு புதிய காவல் கோட்டங்களும் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதுடன், 117 காவல் நிலையங்கள் தரம் உயர்த்தப்பட்டுள்ளன. இது தவிர 15 மாவட்டங்களுக்கு 32 புதிய ஆயுதப் படைப் பிரிவுகளும், ஒர் ஆயுதப் படைக் கம்பெனியும் உருவாக்கப்பட்டு, இவற்றிற்கென 2,109 கூடுதல் பணியிடங்கள் தோற்றுவிக்கப்பட்டு காவலர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை படிப்படியாக உயர்த்தப்பட உள்ளது. தீயணைப்பு, மீட்பு பணிகள்”
